The Mission.
Every day, millions of people nationwide fight unseen battles, suffering in silence, alone. Two communities where this war is prevalent is amongst our military and first responders.
Our communities are insular, independent, and have traditions, customs, and cultures very few on the outside can understand. We think, see, and interact with the world in different ways from nearly everyone else. We are proud, we are strong, and we volunteer to give all of ourselves to serve and protect those who can’t protect and help themselves.
At the same time, these character traits can be what create stumbling blocks, preventing us from truly enjoying our lives. We focus so much on the job that we often don’t realize the stress and feelings have been building up, sending us on a downward spiral.
Many of us come to recognize where we’ve wound up and reach out for help, but don’t know where to turn. Work environments can be hostile to those who try, and whats more, many of the traditional methods of mental healthcare and community support are showing to be more ineffective than we once thought.
This is what has led to our war. In our research, we see that the number one cause of depression and contributor of PTSD symptoms is the feeling of being alone. We lack community, we lack camaraderie outside of the job, and to try to heal our wounds, we often find answers that cause us more harm than good.
We at Stoke see you.
We know who you are, and what you’re going through.
Founded by first responders and combat veterans, Stoke Therapy is a company with one goal in mind; getting you stoked for life. Our jobs haven given us plenty to die for; die for country, die for patients, die for those on our left and our right.

Come out to a Stoke event and find the tribe you’ve been looking for. Our events are positive spaces where we come together to hike, climb, surf, or whatever else gives us something to look forward to in our time off. We try our best to put our uniforms in the rearview while we’re having a good time so you can unwind and enjoy the brother and sisterhood of the community.
Please keep in mind, despite our name, this is not therapy and should not take the place of professional mental healthcare if you need it. We instead strive to bolster the positive aspects of life and help you overcome whatever you may be going through with holistic means and camaraderie.
With everything positive in life, you have to take charge and decide to make it a priority. Everyone here cares, no matter your service or experience.
